Have You Been Told That Your 2 Eyes Are Imbalanced, Different Power ?

At times, there might be a difference in strength between your eyes, leading one eye to have notably better vision. Consequently, you tend to rely more on the stronger eye, causing the other eye to become less active, a phenomenon often referred to as a “lazy eye.” Regrettably, when both eyes aren’t coordinated effectively, it can result in eye fatigue. This lack of coordination might require re-reading material and could lead to experiencing headaches. This eye condition is known as anisometropia.

When reading or working on the computer, do you:

  • Have eye pain?
  • Get tired? Headaches?
  • Feel like you are only using one eye?
  • See blurry?
  • Have trouble seeing in the distance?

If you have any of these symptoms, we can help.  Please call to schedule an appointment with our vision specialist, Mr. Tien.

Born with strabismus, the author had several surgeries as a child that initially improved their condition. However, during adolescence, their eye turn worsened due to stress and affected their self-esteem. A botched surgery in adulthood further worsened their condition, causing double vision and limited eye movement. After discovering Vision Therapy, they began treatment which was initially slow but eventually led to significant improvements. The author wishes they had been taught resilience, self-worth, and trust in non-invasive healing methods earlier in life. They are grateful for the support from professionals and communities dealing with similar challenges.
